OBII scan tool
Hey guys I'm thinking of buying a scanner. Can anyone recommend a good one. I was thinking about getting one that I can plug into my laptop to monitor real time data (if this is possible with a 95) I'm getting a CEL for fuel trim(mixture not correct rich or lean) on both banks. The manual says it could be a bunch of different things. But I'm not getting any other codes. Also I see in the manual the Nissan Consult tool can monitor all these things. Should I buy one of these?

i have really been thinking about this one myself....I have an old 566 celeron computer i could put out in the garage to run it...or you can find a lap-top on ebay for $100.

Hey Guys I found this http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/consult_if.htm
It appears to be an interface between the Nissan Consult connector allowing you to use software in a PC. I think this would be better than a scan tool. Cheap to, it works out to about $106

i have this

and i would not recommend anything else since they are all the same but others cost more.

this one http://autoenginuity.com/ includes so called "Performance Analyzer". DON'T pay attention to it since it's NOT even close to be accurate

I ordered this one http://www.obddiagnostics.com/index.html
Don't think I can go wrong for the $$. The unit I saw with the consult connector is made in Australia. Maybe they sell that there because there cars don't have the connector for OBDII. Maybe that is a US only thing?
