tokico illuminas with eibach springs

just got a new set of illuminas from the group deal and had them installed with my eibach spring that i had already had. i noticed an improvement in the ride, but not as much as i though i would. i have all the struts on the the softest setting "1". anyone else have the same or similar setup and have any comments on the ride?

"1" is definately too soft for those spring, you are supposed to adjust the dampening force of the struts in conjunction with what springs you have. I would suggest 3-4 all around on those Eibach Springs.

Even with the Illuminas, is this going to be a harsh ride?.....say over Maxspeed?
I know that the Eibach's are higher quality and I have a chance to pick some up cheap....that is why.

eibach is a lot stiffer than maxspeed. (i've rode on one before). they provide similar drop. maxspeeds are fairly soft, and closer to stock SE riding quality (IMO). but do expect 3 fingers wheel gap.

Ive read that setting the struts/shocks to full soft or full stiff could damage them prematurely? I could be wrong.

Luke that makes absolutely no sense. they were made for adjustment, why would they wear out quicker? you got me.

I have eibach with AGX on 1/2 (stock) and its a great ride. 4/8 is just like riding in a bulldozer. The stock setting you are on is just that.....STOCK, so its not going to be much of an improvement. try different settings, keeping the front stiffer than the rear or equal.
