As the title says, my car used to have problems starting and now it doesn't start at all. I used to get the code occasionally and the car would be hard to start occasionally (not really related like if ecu light is on, it's not necessarily when the engine would not want to start). I haven't gotten this code in like 2 weeks (though the hard starts remained) and now it won't start at all (still no code that I can tell...of course it's not running to really set the code off).

Could the CPS really be the cause now that I don't get any codes.

 

i havent gotten to checking it yet, but the CPS (POS) could be the cause, after thorough searching it seems as though the CPS (0407) DTC is a result of the hard starting, not the cause. also upon searching if ound thers a possibility either the harnesses are bad, or the ground between the engine and tranny could also be bad.

 

clean the CPS (POS), and the other two as well, they might have metal filings all over them
