I've been wondering about this for the last couple weeks:

Could bad coils that are causing misfires set off the knock sensor, which sets the car in the "safe mode" where power loss is introduced?

Im just trying to figure out why my car is so slugish lately, I know the coils are going because of all the misfires ive been having, but is it just the coil packs causing all the low end loss?

Im not going to start a whole new knock sensor thread, I simply want to know if the misfires from the coil packs are in any relation to the knock sensor being triggered?
