I just want to know what made you decide on WHICH Kelvin color to get. And also post a pic if youve got em.

i went with 8000K in my foglights and i went with 8000 b/c i got them for a really good price. but my choice would prolly be 6000K.....i'd put 5000K in my headlights but nothing more since they are blinding
Also soulfly, i'm trying to put some freakin' SS brake lines on right now and let's just say the 10mm bolt connecting the stock metal lines to the rubber ones is a B*TCH to get off....any suggestions?

here's a pic....

That is incorrect. Factory is 4100k/4300k. Anything above 6000k is pointless. 4300k and 5000k philips D2S bulbs produce around 3200lumens, but once you go for the 6000k D2S bulb, it drops down to 2400lumens. Halogen is somewhere around 1600 or 1700 lumens.

So you can imagine how much worse it gets once you go for 8000k and above, it turns out to be the same or less light than halogen.

btw, I have 4300k Philips D2S bulbs in my Hella E-class projectors. I would never let myself to get anything more than 5000k.

Go with a 4100k 4300k HID kit. Make sure it uses quality parts, such as Phillips, Hella, Osram ballasts and bulbs.

7000K

White with the faintest hint of blue. Check my cardomain site.

I love it. EONS brighter than stock and even way better than Silverstars.

Remember...unles in projectors, crappy beam patterns.

And :+1: for stock HID being 4100-4300.

When I upgrade to projectors, I am going 4300k bixenon if I can.

Agreed. no reputable company makes kits above 6000k. I chose my color because its pure white with a hint of blue, steering away from cops.

6000k in (sigh) reflector housing. My decision was based slightly on color, moreso on lumen rating....

if you want functionality/brightness get 4100-4300k. If you want something with a bit more color but sacrifices light, get Philips Ultinon 6000k

go anywhere form 4100k to 6000k. 6000k is pretty much the cut off line for useable and non-usable light. Also depends on what you want to go for, do you want to go for looks, or do you want to go for fuction? 4100k will be the best usabelity of light, and 6000k is the medium of looks and light usage. I dunno if you have ever seen mine but me and maxima99sebose bother have 6000k kits that we are extreamly happy with.

i would post pics but cardomain is down at the moment.
