My 95 SE 5 speed has been kinda abused in its old age but it just keeps going. After 217K miles of hard driving I am donating it and buying a 5.6 Nissan Armada.
The 95 has black leather, budget y-pipe, Momo shift ****, hai, STB, Yakima car rack, and unused NOS dry-kit that I will be listing in the For Sale section.
I still have the 02 SE so I can still visit the .org
edited because this retard thinks every Nissan engine is a VQ (would be a good marketing ploy)

sorry guys the car is going to be donated to a valid charity that can provide a receipt for tax purposes.
items will either be sold/traded or left with the car. I want to donate it as a daily driver.

I'm not part of an organization I wish I could give you a receipt but my girlfriend is in need of a car, after her 1996 Neon has given its all, this would be amazing to get for her.
Aye, hate to pose this question, since charities are a good thing...
Ever considered just selling it cheap to an org member. I mean, whatever you're gonna save in taxes, sell it to an org member for the tax credit amount, and whatever small taxes you'd have to pay.
I'm sure there may be a few org members who would benefit from this "donation".
hehe, or I guess it would be super easy just to write it off, and drive it to your local charity.
oh yah and 5.6L sounds like...

My first thought was to just give it to my 18 year old cousin who always dog sits for me. Unfortunately I have massive school loans coming due next year and need to save as much money as possible. With the high mileage, original suspension, 2 bald tires, and other small issues I don't think I would feel right selling it for over $2K if it is even worth that much. The dealer probably won't go over $1200.
Since the tax laws don't change until next year I can probably write of the NADA retail price which for this car is just under $6K without feeling guilty that a private owner, especially from the .org, is saddled by any of the vehicles' issues.

Edit: NADA price is 6K? hehe. cool.

I dunno I hate selling used cars, I know it is 'buyer beware' but I would still feel $hitty if some kid spent his hard earned income on a car that need a lot of work within a few months. I felt bad about selling my Eclipse GST because I knew it was a piece of crap. Even though their were no impending issues to warn him about I bet they were there soon enough.
