removing emblems off the trunk

I kinda wanna take the emblems off the trunk, but what concerns me is that if i do, the paint under them will look better than the paint on the trunk itself, leaving a "shadow" of the former emblems, is there anyway to i guess, "dull" them out if that occurs? I'd really appriecate some insight on this, cause i'd really hate to remove them and then regret it lol.

i took them off on mine 98 gxe, the paint looked exactly like the rest, no any kind of marks [there was some weird-shape "bubble", which is not actually a bubble, and i dont think its there because the emblem was there], and then just rubbed off with my hand the remaining glue, and then finished the job with Goo Gone, you can see the photos on my sig.

another thing - my friend did that on her 97 dark-burgundy, and the paint looked much more faided, maybe her car was repainted without taking off the ebmlems, i dont know. so she repainted that area. so... there is the risk off that.

the fishing line worked perfectly.
