My car recetnly has had trouble starting. Now it won't start sometimes at all. It will turn over sometimes but very slow. Before it stopped starting my check engine light came on. Now I have to pop the clutch to get it going. It is not my battery or alt cause my lights are still bright and after I pop the clutch it seems to run ok but the engine light is still on. Do you think maybe it is the starter and i have another problem with the light or could they be related. Please respond back.

 

i just changed my starter yesterday. that might be it.

 

it's probably your starter. my max was doing the exact same thing before i had to change my starter. it's a really easy fix. just 2 bolts (after you take off your intake) and one plug. just pull it out and then then take it to autozone (or the equivilant) and have them test it for you. good luck!
