The Battery Connection!

I think it was the battery connection. I have a crack in the battery connector and its being held on by the top part of the connector. Also, corrosion has spread from the battery terminal to the battery e-connector.
If anyone has an understanding of what I am talking about, can I get a new connector?

Went to Auto Zone and they did not carry it. If I went to the dealer, how much will I be spending? If I don't need the entire harness, can I just get the connector?

AutoZone definitely carries it. Just ask the guy for new battery terminals. They come in different kits depending how much of the system you want to replace. You can get JUST the battery terminals where you would cut off your old ones, strip the stock wire and put on the new one with the included hardware. You can also get the bigger kit with the new terminals for both positive and negative and new wires for positive and negative that will either completely replace your stock wiring or crimp on to it, your choice. If they don't have it, then they are out of stock, but it's a very common item, I'd ask when they'll re-stock. When you do get your new terminals, get the little anti-corrosion rings. They're like .99 cents, they look like two little flat donuts made of the same material as a dish scouring pad. Usually one red and one green, but may be other colors. These rings go on the battery first, then your new terminals on top, they will prevent corrosion from re-occurring.

Thanks Igobuk. It seems this problem is tying into my problems dealing with my tranny. I cleaned off my posts and the terminals. Then, noticed the tranny was shifting a bit differently. Perhaps once the positive and negative terminal connectors are cleaned or replaced, I should notice a significate difference in performance due to not enough current from the battery throughout the vehicle. Also, my clock has faded out. Wondering if that might be part of the problem too. And, the battery is stating 650 c.c.amps and 850. Should I replace the battery to a higher C.C.Amperage?
