What if transmission oil or engine oil overlimit

It's kind of hard to check the engine oil and transmission oil level for
a maxima. After my last engine oil change and transmission oil flush
in garage, I checked the level myself and it seems to me both levels exceed the maxmum limit quite a lot. I wanna know what serious problems may
come up if the transimission oil and engine oil levels keep overlimit .

After a drive, let the car sit (on a flat area) for 15-20 minutes before checking the oil - o/wise you'll have oil all over the dipstick and it is indeed hard to figure out what the level really is. Once you have let the car sit for a while, pull the dipstick, wipe it clean, and dip/pull it again - now you'll get a good reading.

There was just a post today that explained exactly how to check the tranny level - poke around for it - if I find it, I'll link it here for you.

To check the tranny oil in an automatic, make sure the car is on level ground and with the car running and in park, check the oil level, take the stick out, clean it, dip it in again and check for the level. The car should be running to check the tranny oil, but to check the engine oil, do like njmodi above states with the car off.

If the oil is overlimit by more than like a half inch on the dipstick for either one, that's quite a bit of extra oil. If it's the engine oil that's over-filled, the car may start burning it, all you have to do is loosen the drain plug and let some out, into a container of course, to be disposed of. If it's the tranny oil that's over-filled, it may spit it back out through the dipstick tube. You might want to get a siphon to take some out. If the oil is overlimit by less than half an inch, I wouldn't worry about it, it's not going to hurt.

being over limit in the tranny will generate excess heat....one quart isn't a big deal though...and the tranny is vented to let that pressurized air out.

One extra quart in the engine is also no big deal....its sloshing around a little more, splashing off the crank making heat, thats all. Again, the engine is vented so there's no problem.
