i've only seen a handful of those around since i've had my maxima. i'd say it's pretty rare seeing that you don't see too many members on here with it. i don't think it has been repainted and changed color because i've seen that exact color atleast 4 times in mass.

I'd definitely say the red is rare. When I was buying a Maxima, I looked for quite some time for a Red SE stick. I couldn't find a red one in any combination, I believe the red was only available in 1999 which is why it's so rare. In any case, I'm very happy with my Max now even though it's not a rare one.

Did Canadian Spec Maximas get limited colour options? I have the original Nissan Colour Chips card for 1996 and it does not show the "Starfire Blue Pearl" (tranz), "Neptune Blue" (Blue96Max) or the Pearl White (vsidesupratt1).
7 colours are listed: QN0 White Platinum, CG2 Pebble Beige, LP0 Silver Amethyst, AL0 Ruby Pearl, DP0 Golden Olive, KN6 Pewter Metallic and KH3 Ebony. If you have your colour chips card, let's compare notes.
Do you guys have a lot of the LP0 Silver Amethyst (my colour) down there?

Lol one day someone told me that "Starfire Blue Pearl" was the name of my Color, i always thought it was Steryling Mist but someone told me that only came out in 98
All i know is when i checked a Carfax report a while back, my car was going to get used as a Commerial Vehicle before it was bought, then my dad bought it From a Auto shop in 1996. i wish you could have seen the hubcaps. I've never seen any maxima with these hubcaps. They were outragous looking

That is a cool looking color.
Nice Max.
It almost looks like sterling mist, but it has a little more blue tint to it.
So, you were looking for the rare Crimson Blaze with a 5spd, and then all of the sudden, you just settle for Gold? What is up with that? What about standards? ha ha

I have the exact same looking car as yours in same condition and with clear side lens.
I've seen another car this color only once since I've had this car for more than a year. When I took my car for service the guy wrote purple as its color...I hate it when someone says it's purple because its not.
Does anyone here thinks it looks purple?

that color was only available in 1996. i have it as well (well, those parts of my car that weren't repainted). in my title its listed as "iris". its almost silver, but it has other hues in it, which are visible especially when the sun hits it.
