A picture is worth 1000 words....

Projectors in my foglights... (they're going to be IS300 yellow) Don't mind the paper towels or the crack.

Think those will match nicely with these:

Paper towels are just there to hold the projector in place while I perminantely attach it to the housing. They'd burn up in two seconds with the bulb in there.

They're not really "blue" except at the cutoff. That's just the way HIDs work. They're bright bright white.

And glassjaw I go to URI and am all over the state so we can definitely meet up sometime so I can show you in person.

Is that an HID kit or did you retrofit OEM HIDs?

nice man. i always wanted to do that but never have time to do it. so the projectors for the fogs are from the is300? and the lights are projectors directly from a benz? and they are OEM hids? cool whats the total and this project so far?

How do you like those HID's in you fogs. Do you have any night pics only with those fogs, please post some pics if so.

at night, you can see for miles......

Why did you get HID's for you fogs first instead of getting some for you headlights?

Ok lets see if I can answer some questions here:

My headlights were not a HID kit. They are projectors and OEM parts out of a benze that I put in the headlights. LOTS of work. I would never be caught dead with an off the shelf HID kit in my headlights.

The foglight projectors are from an Audi TT. IS300's have a yellow glass lense with a white 9006 bulb behind them. Since my projectors are clear and use H3's, I'm going to put a yellow H3 bulb in there. Yellow bulbs in reflector housings come out kind of blah... but yellow bulbs in a projector come out VERY yellow!

And about the lamp hahaha my father said it looked scary in the pictures too! It looks like it's on fire. In reality they're just 7 watt lamp bulbs inside a big glass housing with corn stalks around it. Spooky!

The writeup is simply "stuff the projector into the housing." JB weld the thing in place and go. They're JB welded in right now but not 100% finished.

cool! if you ever need anything or want to shoot the sh*t just stop in...the three cars i'd drive there are a baby blue saab 9000 turbo, green 97 maxima or my black 92 maxima (dont hold your breath on seeing that though...everything i do unveils a new issue i need to address with the very small amount of time i have to spend working on the car)
if my boss is there (black 92ish 4 runner, roof racks, storage thingy on the roof also) i wont have much time to chat but if you're gonna stop by just to hang out, saturday is best as its not busy in the least and my boss usually doesnt just show up randomly like he has for the past 2 weeks every other day.

8am-6pm monday-friday (i only work m/w/f) and 8am-1pm saturday. but like i said, look for one of the above mentioned cars, if one is there, i'm there (unless the sign on the door says "be back in 10 minutes", then i'm out on a delivery, that happens on saturdays when i have no driver).
