Exhaust Poll...

hey guys,
this is probably a repost but its defiently newer. Im looking to get a full catback soon. I just wanted to see what everyone else had and what their opinions were. Im really looking at the SP2 or Apexi WS2(i think its called) I hear they are the most liked out of all of them. Just post your exhaust setups and your opinion on it. If you have videos/sound clips feel free to post them! OH! and also fitment issues and pictures!

Thanks

Sean

Hey Im the first to vote... being that I picked the SP2 because of the Greddy name and the fact that everyone I spoke to about the Sp2 love it (Not too Ricy a sound, 1.5 mm piping, 304 Full Stainless Steel catback) And the fact that they had the original SP and now up graded to the SP2 shows that they made improvements that others just keep their original designs...

The Greddy is slightly under 2.5" diameter and believe it or not it is the world sport. That being said my vote is for the Cattman for perfect fit and excellent sound. The SP2 is a great alternative and I would probably have that if I didn't have the Cattman.

ive heard clips of the sp2 and cattmans, and i like them both... i think cattmans tip is more subtle, cant give you an exact size... sp2's is 4.5" and its noticable...

either way, im sure you'll like it...

Yep, it's 60 mm tubing, which comes out to 2.36". The Apexi WS is the same for the axle-back portion, and it's only 50 mm from the cat to the muffler flange.

My Megan exahust fit perfect, is compeltely stainless and mandrel bent. The only caveat is that it's incredibly loud, I mean VERY loud. Other than that, no complaints ...

I will be switching the muffler to a dual tip style soon though, I just think it looks better than having a 4.5" round tip on the back of a family car

Nice. I got the same thing except with OEM b-pipe and magnaflow resonator. I like having differnet things than everyone else. Sounds good IMO. Does yours sound kinda raspy or not good when the engine is cold?

As far as I know the Apexi is no longer made so good luck finding it. I've heard both but I'm partial to the SP2

use punctiation... please... besides your three exclamation marks...

the sp2 will fit your car... it already has a bung on the b-pipe, and it sticks out too far on the 95-96 bumper so it should fit perfectly for us... as far as the bends go, they should be the same right?

am i correct mike, or ricefob?

They offer the b-pipe, and I thought they could fabricate a rear section.

I'll call tomorrow.

I just so happen to have the stock rear section rust out on me yesterday so this thread came in handy.

I will do that, I get inspection in december so i'll have something this month.

If the budget thing doesn't work out, where is a good spot to get the GReddy SP2, and do they make it for a 97. All I have seen are for 95-96.

sp2 from hopupracing.com is $500
sp2 from SWAW is $520

both prices shipped (according to maxmods)

im pretty sure that it will fit your car due to the bung on the b-pipe and the length of it... im awaiting conformation from someone... anyone...

No, I have one muffler with 2 outlets.

A true dual exhaust isnt one with just 2 mufflers. In that case the new Maxima, Accords, Mazda 6, etc would have true dual exhausts. A true dual exhaust is one where each bank of cylinders has its own manifold, downpipe, catalytic converter, and exhaust pipe all the way back.
