Why is my ac fan working off and on
What the heck to add to my ever growing list of maxima issues, now I have a new one........and its happening more and more. If I turn the fan on to any number 1-4 I hear the ac compressor kick on but no air is blowing out. Most of the time if I leave it on number 4 for a about a minute or more it will usually come on, sometimes I have to turn it on and off until it finally works.
Any ideas?
My fan has been making a clicking noise while it is running

Wow whats happened to this board? So many newbies not answering the question.
Anyways....as I stated the compressor comes on which your correct it wouldnt do if the freon was to low as you all stated. However my question was in regards as to why the fan motor in the car is not kicking on in conjuction with the compressor, no matter if its on 1 or 2, 3, 4 it has to sit there for a good minute or more before the fan kicks on...sometimes I have to move the switch between those numbers numerous times before the fan kicks on.

If the compressor is always kicking in - then it could be a bad fan switch or *maybe* a bad resistor pack - check the stickes for more info on that... I don't think the fan will work "eventually" with a blown resistor pack though...
