The my car has issues thread

I swear every time I walk out and crank my car I have some new noise.

As of late here are my issues on the maxipad..

Clutch that squeeks when you let it out.
Engine that takes at least 4 cranks to start, or one long minute crank routine.
Unusual noise coming from the rear area of the car, that just rattles itself to death.
An ac fan that only works when it wants to.
A whining noise that sounds like a bad steering pump amazingly it doesnt make the noise when you turn only when your sitting there reving, or when your going straight. explain that one
A puttering idle, that sounds like I have a cam.
Not to mention the ocassional smoke that emits from the tail pipe after the car has sat overnight.

So lets see I give her a good 8 months till she wont go anymore
Kinda sucks I keep on top of everything to a t 3-4k mile oil changes, routine maintenance. etc..etc..

1999 maxima heading to the graveyard..........anyone else?

Wow, I have 224k on my 95 and she's just fine. Might want to check coils and other normal maintenance, belts etc, but you might have already, maybe a KS too, starter, check all +/- on the battery and additional ground points.

Check the codes yourself or take it to autozone, save you some money instead of going to the dealership.

You already do have a cam. In fact, four of them. LOL. I know what you mean. Just slowly knock out the problems and they will go away for good. Its when you let the broken things accumulate that you get overwhelmed. Fix one thing at a time. Start with the rear rattle. That sounds like an easy fix. Then move on from there. If your giving up I don't give any respect.

Not giving up at all, just seems like they pop up faster then I have time and or money to fix them. and I hate not fixing sutff for fear that its causing more lasting damage then anything else. Sigh whatcha gonna doo ehh...

Dont have that attitude. Turn that idea 180 degrees around and then you'll have better luck hopefully.

Your positive thinking reflects on how your car feels about itself.

Have you ever noticed that your car runs better after a bath?
Yeah, uh huh. Or when you buy it something pretty.

If you love your car, your car loves itself.

if you tell your car its a POS, well, it will become a POS. LOL

Thats my motto. LOL

I also have the problem with my clutch....squeaks when I release the pedal. What could be the problem? Something needs to be greased? And trust me dude....all my problems hit me like a wall lately too. Like its said...take it one at a time, and everything'll be alright. Clean out your TB and IACV for the idle. Check your sensors for the smoke.
