For those with custom B-pipes

Did you guys reattach the support cross member after installing the B-pipe?
I'm finding my Budget B-pipe thumps against the side whenever I go down a bumpy road.

Does it rub against the pipe? I'm thinking that it'll scratch the finish and allow rusting to happen.

I need to do that too.
Mine bumps only when I hit large bumps and I don't hear that too often.
I am sure it is from that cross member.

For those of you who want to keep the brace on and want to avoid damaging and noisy metal to metal contact - you could also try wrapping the brace with the same exhaust wrap (pipe insulation) that people us on their Y pipes. I have it on mine and it works great. However, long-term I imagine I'll have to change it every year and re-wrap with fresh material.

jdm71488 - I can't speak for all maufacturers, but I'm sure this problem faces anyone with an aftermarket B. Take a look at this photo from motorvate.ca

http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/522

The OEM B-pipe is crimped / squashed significantly between the resonator and the rubber hanger to accomodate the light grey bar (support cross member that BlackCat is talking about). As far as I know, aftermarket Bs get their performance gains from larger diameter piping and removing this crimped section.
