warpspeed y-pipe

Well I just put it on today and it works great... I was wondering for all of you with a stock setup and a ws y-pipe how much HP do you really gain.? Have any of you with this setup dyno'd it? It feels strong and pulls good when I get on the gas....next is a CAI it will be in next week...

I got the full Y pipe and Catback from Warpspeed...and I didn't dyno it...so I guess I can't answer your question, ha ha. Dallas mentioned that dyno tests have shown 18 to 20HP. It's certainly butt dyno APPROVED.

The catback sounds great but there are some fitment issues. As a result, the axle comes up and hits the B pipe on hard bumps sometimes...

Good luck and enjoy!

I can feel power gains. I probably put anywhere from 5-10 hp to the wheels.

I put my Y on a couple weeks ago, and I think I can really feel the difference, esp. accelerating fast & hard in 1st and second.

for the money, its ok... i got mine for $275 shipped, but its not really what i was after... it had some fitment issues... and the retards put curved pipe in backwards so that didn't help any... so it maybe just them that screwed it up... i dont know, but im not really happy... nice sound. it got louder in about 2 weeks...

The fitment issues are with the B pipe, right? Mine hits the rest of the car in two places - it hits the body at the first bend behind the resonator, and it hits the rear axle where the B pipe goes up and over. I got the Dynomax Clone muffler, I'm wondering if the other mufflers have a different geometry that allows the B pipe to fit better (sit higher, away from the axle).

I noticed that the entire system had a lot of play in it, in terms of how much it would swing and sway over bumps and such. I added an additional bracket to the un-utilized rubber grommet in front of the muffler to minimize vibration, that helped a little. After tweaking it about a dozen times, I've finally got it where's it's not too bad...but at first it would crash into the underside of the car at the slightest imperfection in the road. Even now, the tailpipe sits low and at a little of an angle...

But yeah the sound and power are really nice.

yeah, they (the second better shop) pretty much mounted the muffler, and ran the b-pipe to it... the tip can only be so close to the bumper because it is such a big muffler...

all the fitment problems were in the pipe though... but mine doesn't rattle or hit anywhere... a good shop will make it work for you...

i want an exhaust i can bolt up and not have to worry about anything...
