well here in IL if you do +40mph over (where the limit max is 65), then cops can legally arrest you. It is considered "reckless" driving. An average fine for bail is then usually $500+. In Arkansas for instance (where the limit max is 70) speeing +15mph over is considered "reckless".

bunch of tickets in one event.....(i was 17) . . .

to keep it short...
head on collision with a police officer = no license for 6 months...
(it wasn't serious... i almost completely stopped but still hit him doing 5mph) . . .
they made it seem like i almost killed the guy.....

Yeah, my 120mhp in a 65mhp is considered wreckless driving, but they went with the greater of 2 evils in this case. Stupid po-po. If only I would have known that was a COP behind me and not my friends honduh! Still spanked his patrol car.

Oh man that sucks, 9 miles over?

One time I got pulled over for doing 72 in a 45 and the cop was having a super freaking day I guess, because I didn't get a ticket and all I got was "try and obey the speed limit the rest of the way home, alright?"

I about crapped my pants.

Sorry that that's not a ticket amount (well I guess ticket was $0), but I think it's an amazing story anyway...

Just got last saturday a "reckless driving by street racing ticket" while going 80 in a 35. I'm not sure how much its going to cost, anybody have a guess? I took it to my cop friend and knows the police officer who stopped me, so I'm waiting to see what he can do.

85 in a 55. Car and driver registration info in a secured database (Wife's job), so even the state police could not see it. 15+ reckless is $400 minimum bail. Towing $250 hook charge, $35 per mile (17 miles), $75 per day storage fee.. $1245 As the cop said; either tow the car as a possible stolen car. Car theft bail ($HUGE) or let me go... I was lucky and drove away. Moral of the store. Don't be tired and pissed and stomp on the gas. Wife probably would have left me in jail.

How about biggest break?

Was going 115-120 in a 60. Got tagged by radar, slowed down....Cop followed me for a good minute (I was goin 58 or so by now), then hit his lights.

Gave me a warning. Haven't done it since. "Me dumb."

Oh, and God bless that gentleman.

i probably ont have the most amount on a ticket but i might win for most amount of tickets in a 24 hour period. 3!!!!!! well actually 2 tickets and a warning.

1st ticket was on a sunday night for doing 70 in a 55, i got a 80 sumthin dollar ticket. this was at 1 am.

7am, jus 6 hours later i get into an accident on my way to school because some **** head cuts me off and i rear end him, it was still wet from the rain so i hit him at about 25 mph. it was a 2 car hit (i hit him, he hits car ahead of him). the punk cop say its my fault, and said i was folowing to close and speeding, he didnt believe that the guy cut me off. that was a 150 somethin dollar ticket.

at 10 am after i change my tire and missing class i decided to go home. 3 blocks away from my house i get pulled over for driving an unsafe vehicle and almost got another ticket. i told the **** head i just got in the accident and even showed him the ticket and police report, and after wasting 20 mins of my time he lets me go and says i better not catch you driving later. i almost spit in his face.

= kiss my @ss

Hehe, ur lucky.

Think my second best break was...

I left a bar ( I was 19 ), and I didn't think of it, but a state cop was watching the bar's parking lot. I got in my nissan stanza (yes a 2.4L 4 banger), started messing with my g/f's mustang. Got pulled over. Had a 12 pack on my back seat. No drivers license, not even an in-state ID. No insurance either.

Was told to have my g/f drive me home and pick the car up in the morning (I parked it on the side of the road). Didn't get to take that night(but I kept), my 12 pack. I got another best break, but enuff said.

Oh, and a ticket. Think I've paid one in the past 6 years. 77 in a 60 ($130). I've had 5 or more dismissed.

I got stopped for doin 103 in a 45, I was gettin off of work and was tired as sh*t, so i didnt care. Would've been a 250+ ticket. But he ran my license and turned out i had a warrant for my arrest. So not only was i gettin a ticket, I wasnt even gonna be heading home afterwards. Man was i pissed, but I got a break, he ripped up the ticket and gave me a new set of silver bracelets that were an inch too short...lol. And get this that warrant was issued in 2001, so it took them 2 1/2 yrs to serve that warrant. Now I guess my biggest price I had to pay for speeding is 1 yr probation and 200 hrs of comm service.

Here is another break.

I was 17 years old. I had an 87 RX-7 and my neighbor had a 97 BMW 3 series. We decided to race. We passed a cop while going around a corner at 75 in a 35 zone. Cop pulled me over and I was ready to tell the truth about racing when he said, "Looks like that car was chasing you". I said yes sir it was.

I got a warning for 75 in a 35 and a lecture about why not to exceed the speed limit while being followed/chased.

Try this....clocked at 136mph in a 50mph while racing a 01 Eclipse GT...I got a double wreckless with intent to kill + racing + illegal window tint + the dc bumper lights + a suspended license (6 months)... Ticket was written up for $682, but the cop had to leave town on a family emergency. I will never race again!!!

Nuttin too dramatic, 92 on 65... cost me $273... and 3 points for reckless driving.
BUT, that pushed me right under the limit. My insurance company sent me a letter saying that they couldn't insure me anymore... so I moved to denver and got a new license there about 10 months ago. Now I have a cali license. Hopefully.... insurance people aren't too good about tracking down records... if they even do that...
