How to instal glass/shock sensor to factory alarm?

I read the FAQ's but vqpower.com is down right now and I wanna put a shock sensor in my car. My "friends" are always screwin with it so I want the alarm to go off when they do, I quoted friends cause I don't think they really are. I wanna beat their **** or do something to their car, but that's another story. On ebay they have shock sensors with 4 wire and some with 3 wires. Is what I need is the 3 wire one cause I don't need to connect 4 wires? That is the main question I have so any help would be good. Thanks.

VQPower isn't down for me, try the link.

It's a piece of cake. You can get either the 3 or 4 wire sensor. The 3 wire is a regular sensor and the 4 wire is a two-stage sensor. The factory alarm can't be made to understand the difference so you'll be ingoring the fourth wire. Just use the red, black and blue wires, ignore the green. I installed it last week and it works great. Just don't put the whole car back together until you test it out thoroughly. I thought I had mine set up nice until it kept going off anytime it was too windy. I had to take everything apart again and now I finally have a nice setup.

Thanks. I guess my browser wouldn't let it open. Did you get yours on ebay?

I got my shock sensor from an old alarm system I had. Everytime I get rid of a car, sell it or otherwise, I take out all the stuff I put into it, alarms, speakers, etc. so I always have some stuff lying around.

eBay isn't bad but you can do better at a local alarm or car stereo shop. Just go somewhere ghetto and you can get it for like $4 bucks. If you go to a nice flashy store, they jack up the price. Sure they'll use heat shrink and a wire stripper instead of black tape and their teeth but what do you care... you don't want them to put it in, you just want the sensor to do it yourself.

Good luck.
