Is there a difference between the Matt Blehm kit and the HyperGround kit? Are there any other kits out there? Have you been happy with your kit?

Try AT's grounding it. It's one of the cheapest out there and haven't heard anything bad about them yet. I may order a set myself.

just because it costs more does not mean it's better!
if it's just wires, is it possible to make it myself? anybody know of a writeup?
thanks.
Yeah, you can make it yourself just get a good gauge wire.
Here's a writeup.

why would you hear anything bad about a set of wires? thats like me spending an extra 20$ because i like the color of one wire over another. read up on what grounding does and understand the principle behind it all before you look to purchase something.

What I meant was...all the opinions on it so far, that i have heard, was pretty good. Nobody has *****ed about what a waste of money it was yet, or that it messed up their cars, not that I've heard. And what is there to understand about the principle? Just grounding a bit more so there is less pull on the current, hense better transfer and flow of power. You make it out to be rocket science lol. Ahhhh wait..you must be one of those objective know it alls that are all over this org. If you read what you said, it does nothing to help out the original thread. You just came in here to act high and mighty. Wanna argue? Try a chat room. The rest of us are here to get answers to questions, or offer our own ideas on issues. Not to knit pick like a damn school girl.
its a bunch of wires, the only difference would be looks, if you're original grounding points are corroded, then the wires would help. you dont have to know much to figure that out. make your own from radioshack if you think itll yield you so much improvement, im not here to argue, but in general people should be able to think on their own, seems to plague the org. he asked which kit was better, theyre all the same and thats how what i said was relevant.
i was civil at one time, then you see your share of 400000 intake posts, ground wire posts, "what should i get next for my car" posts and it drives you nuts beacuse you cant get any useful information outta the search function because EVERY thread will have something concerning a cai.

Thanks, didn't know about the HKS or Active Tuning kits. Yeah I know it's just a bunch of wires and I understand the principle behind this mod. I posted this thread because there are issues of workmanship, install instructions, and customer service. These can only be shared by personal experience. For those that posted "It's just a bunch of wires" I'd be curious to know what kind of cables you run for you Audio/Visual equipment in your car or at home. I'm sure you use some name-brand cables because the quality (whether it is gauge or finish) is better. Anyways, thanks guys
I plan on going over the existing grounds on my car, taking them off , cleaning them & reinstall with dielectric grease. Then I may just run a couple to places like the headligths. I've already grounded my MAF directly and it seems to make a difference. I don't think running a bunch of grounds to places that are already properly grounded makes any sense. My .02cents (CAD)
I made my own from streetwires 8awg going to a 8 terminal distro block to 2awg with gold plated wire terminals. I'm running an 8-point grounding system. It makes my headlights a bit brighter, and my car run smoother. Don't do this mod if you think it yields results like a y-pipe. It doesn't. It just makes your car run a bit smoother. I spent about 45-55 bucks on my setup (don't remember exactly) and just custom cut and wired everything. I also sanded every point with my dremel.
did you notice any difference in drivng? i know they will not *** power but does it make things smoother, like idle and all that like has been said? i am interested n purchasing these cause maxima electrical syatem suck ***.
It isnt a HUGE performance mod. But it helps electrical stuff a bit, and acceleration is a lil more responsive. Some say your headlights are a bit brighter (being if your stock grounds ARE corroded this might happen) it didnt really make a difference for me tho.
One thing that i did notice was that the car starts REALLY fast, before if i was below a quarter tank it would crank a fiew time before it started. Now it only does that if im like on empty (wich is normal to an extent)
One thing that i REALLY appreciated about this mod was the difference in sound quality in the speakers. I have a bose system and MAN it sounds like almost new! very vivid sound was a nice result from this and my mid to low bass was improved a bit as well.. i doubt it was in my head since im a audio fanatic, but who knows lol..
One MAJOR difference in these kits is that MattBlemcos kit offers a CRAP load of wires at two different gauges. The thicker wires conect to ground points and the smaller gauge wires daisy chain to other random possible grounding points in the engine bay for basically asthetic improvement and maybe an increase in grounding by a LITTLE bit.
If you look at the kits on ebay or the one that was posted, they cost about the same and ONLY offer 4 wires, that basically sucks, it might do the job, but it kinda deffeats the purpose of having a grounding kit wich would not only be to replace stock grounds but to improve them with not only thicker gauge wires but with quantitiy as well..
Kinda sad it took 22 posts for you to get this information, but i hope this helps.
P.S. i would advise you to make your own OR buy mattblemcos set. as his products have yet seise to amaise me in quality and customer service. (all this is from OTHER customers not from me, as of YET
)

I also made my own set of ground wires using 4 gage wire. It actually made my car a bit slower and less responsive. I sell the hyper ground kits and the hyper voltage systems at my workplace. I just refuse to spend so much money on some wires, especially since the ones I made didn't work. Also a tuning shop next door to my shop hooked it up to there 350z and put it on the dyno. They lost 4 hp.
How can a grounding kit make you loose horsepower?
That makes NO sense. and untill you show me b4 and after dyno runs i honestly think your full of $hit.
I meen think about it. Unless you replaced the stock grounds with the ground kit you should notice nothing but good results. remember to only apply this kit on already existing ground points (ontop of stock) and and add some randomly around the engine bay.
BTW, i will be waiting for those dyno results

thats apples and oranges, you compare a wire thats purpose to carry an undistorted signal in audio equipment to somethign thats supposed to ground the excess electrons. i shouldnt have bashed, I APOLOGIZE, but i think someone should make their own instead of purchasing it, beacuse i think itll cost alot less if you goto radioshack or homedepot.

x2, that guy's full if $hit.
Do you even know what your talking about, I work with these kits everyday. I even sell them to *******es like yourself cause in your little naive head you think they will produce some power. In the diagrams that sun provides with the kit you do not ground over existing points, you add on to better grounding locations. To the frame, block, headers, valve cover, and trans. You run them in sequence like a big loop. Read up on your s**t.

How hot do headers get? DO YOU know what your talking about..whats the wires insulated with...yea plastic... i would HIGHLY sudjest not grounding these to the headers LOL....
No wonder you lost power bro.. you probly got melting plastic alover your engine bay.
Read ANY of the write ups on these kits.. and your actually supposed to daisy chaing from stock ground points to OTHER randome places like valve cover, trany, TB, Frame, etc.
anyways, gaining power isnt the main concern here man. That is one of the perks, POSSIBLY!
It mostly just helps out the electrical system of the car, in order to run better...
You really need to stop posting and making yourself look like a fool, but whatever, i think i got bashed a fiew times my first fiew posts on the org.
like i said do your research and THEN tell me wazup. BTW where are those magical numbers you pulled up from the Dyno? im still waiting

Please go back up to post 19 and read what I said. Until then, STFU n00b.
Good luck with grounding your headers. Hope that works out for ya.

you could make a set, or you could go to ebay... if you really want to spend money on it...
