Exhaust Silencer

Does anyone know where I can get an exhaust silencer? I have a Magnaflow RS with a 4" tip and it has a hole in the bottom where the silencer bolts up to. Sometimes I want to drive with a quieter exhaust and a silencer seems like the answer. Thanks to everyone who answers.

Is that Magnaflow a fart tube?

They sound none other than awesome on my dad's '72 with a 351 Cleveland, but Im' thinking a 3.0 Maxima would just not be right.

no, it's nice and deep. nothing like some honduh exhaust. other people on the board have them and seem to like them with the exception of Ceasar.

I know Apexi makes an exhaust (with 4" tip) with an optional silencer. Might be the N1, perhaps....

if i get the silencer from the N1, will it fit my muffler? i mean, are most mufflers the same internally that a silencer from another brand will fit?

Can't answer that for ya. I don't have the slightest clue as to how it installs, but I wouldn't think varying internals would affect it (unless either yours or the N1 is a radical design). I'd suggest finding a shop that's an Apexi carrier and taking your muffler directly to them and see how it works.

it doesn't hurt horsepower and you can see straight through it, it is the best and cheapest way to have a silencer. look at one and try it, it will work

sense no one is obviously responding relivent to the topic i will be the first to say that no the apexi N1 silencer will not work with your muffler because it uses a dual baffling system. you can go on ebay and search for a 4" silencer and make sure its just a single baffle that looks like ====() the silencer for the N1 looks like this =()=() that wont fit yours. you will also need a high temp bolt for it because ive lost 3 silencers on the road by using wal-marts bolts needless to say they dont stand up to heat to well -Ryan p.s. this method also costs alot less than a gay cherry bomb and can be removed when you want it louder, also just so u know all the silencer takes away is the bassy part of the exhaust not the overall sound. so basically it takes the body out of the sound and leave crispy tones that sound funny but are quiet none the less
