yesterday i was checking somethign at a garage cuz somehting under my car was rattleing so they checked it and showed me that the heat sheild was messed up
so my question to you all is where exactly is the heat shield...like is it on the cat or y pipe....
don't worry the guy installed a new one free of charge but i just need to know cuz i was geting a y pipe soon

and another questiont that i had was is the exhuast suppose to be lose. cuz the guy was banging on the pipe lightly to find the noise and i saw my whole exhuast bounce up and down.????

 

Heat sheild is usually on the cat and yes your exaust should be able to move freely, not to freely but it should move some.
