hmmm then check the hanger that holds the Y pipe. Half of that hanger is gone on my car... it makes it vibrate as well.

Actually the y-pipe has metal, hanger sticks welded onto it to use the stock rubber hangers.

its made for the 95-96... i dont want to have to get an exhaust for my car and still have to modify it to fit... did that with my current... if im going to spend that much, it better well fit right...

i like the apexi, but i think the ws2 is coming out soon... idk...

i saw a picture of the sp2 and boy is it nice... its only 432 now i heard so thats not too bad... the cattman sounds like qaulity, but i havent heard it yet...

i havent heard the sp2 neither...

You need to make a option for greddy sp original. I think it sounds better than the sp2

i put the poll on my site to let this thread die for fellow orgers...

please vote!

maxima.accessjdm.com/polls.php

with the .org poll, i can't modify it, but i can modify the ones on my site...

this will clean up the org a bit, and still have people to vote and see the results and all...

if you want one added, email me... thanks

thanks to the org, i really appreciate you all...

Here is my contribution to your thread.
Is the only vid I got so far, and since there is not many good places to step on the gas, I had to go a little slow.
The setup is:
Cattman Headers, and Cattman catback.

well... the cattman catback is a little too much ($600) and the sp2 has the extra bung... i know the new one is coming out for us but i want to see what it will fit like... i bet it fits the 95-96 better than ours...

im thinking about just going cattman b-pipe and a custom dynomax or custom magnaflow rear section...

id probably settle for the LSS b-pipe but i don't know about the longevity...

i only want to do things once, so thats why i tend to always say cattman... i have yet to hear a horror story on any of their products...

if i had my way id get a cattman b w/ a sp2 rear section... but i emailed greddy and the dont part out the system...

i also like the idea of being able to change out the rear section for different tones... i wont get tired of it so easily... and the b-pipe will still hold up throughout the changes... you know?

budget Y and resonated B stock cat with a new stock muffler. not loud no bees. can tell a difference in power and very happy comparing to the edelbrock RPM muffer and flowmaster 50 series I tried, all way too loud. I only got the b pipe because mine was shot.

Just to replace your muffler with a louder one. It'll sound really nice and smooth if you have the stock Manifold/Downpipe. If you add an aftermarket downpipe, you'll get a grumble-like exhaust note (Think GM's line of 60 and 90degree V6's, If you like that sound, more power to you) due to unequal-length piping.

I'm going to be putting in a FloPro V-force muffler ($75 installed) with everything else in the exhaust stock. I'm hoping to get sound clips up in a few days. FloPro is a cheaper knock-off of the Flowmaster Delta series only with less internal baffles.

Budget Y, Budget Resonated B, Dynomax Super Turbo.

Muffler and B-pipe is getting installed this weekend...will let you know how it sounds, but this is the set-up I chose. Hopefully it isn't too loud, but gives it some tone over stock.

Budget/LSS
Telephone Number is 905-681-9502, listed on the website. I've just called and ordered my stuff both times without a problem.

P.S. Why does my signature show up now, when I'm posting a reply. It doesn't show up when I start a thread or replied before. Very random?!?

SP2. I have a slightly modded one with an additional resonator. Sounds basically stock except at WOT when it sounds like a demon.

How do you think a Magnaflow #14829 muffler will sound with a stock b-pipe and budget y-pipe. I have a magnaflow muffler on its way to my house and i already have the budget y-pipe installed.

-What's your opinion on how this will sound?

OMG that cattman video sounds awesome. I wouldn't do it, one, because of price and, two, because you can hear it at low rpm ... that would make me want to kick my *** when I am going down the highways. Props to that max.

I just got the cattman catback setup put on about a month ago and have had the cattman y-pipe for about 2 years now and I love it. The thing that sold me on it was designed to sound good with a y-pipe. I was a little unsure of this when I bought it because the ad can say one thing but how it really sounds could be another. After talking to Brian from cattman, he had me convinced that it was going to sound good. All I can say about the sound is that it is amazing. Much better then any other catback when coupled with a y-pipe. I did a lit of research and listened to many sound clips of other catbacks with y-pipe setups and they all sounded raspy. This is nowhere close to that. It is deep sounding on accleration and NOT loud or droaning when cruising on the highway. I do a lot of highway driving and that was the last thing I wanted from an exhaust.
One more thing, don't listen to people who just put the exhaust on today and then comment about it an hour later saying it is really loud or raspy. You must let it break in. After about 2 weeks of driving, ~500-600 miles, it got much deeper and quieter.

It may be a little pricy but, if you get everything you want from this setup like I did, I feel it was definitely worth it. And Brian is a great guy to deal with and stands behind his products.

Oh and I also confirmed with Brian that is all stainless steel before I bought it because I have had the y-pipe on for 2 years in New York winters and it still looks brand new.

what exahust, muffler would u guys recommend? i saw the stillen muffler, looks stock ish and pretty easy and cool.

my muffler has a small crack in it. so i am thinking of just changing it. i am not going to go for sounds, grumbles, rumble, header, intakes, just stock, but maybe just a change of muffler?

any ideas?
