would this be a decent trade?

as of now i have a 96 pearl white gxe with 112k miles,

would trading it in on a 95 se black interior, cloth seats 5psd be a good deal.

only problems on the outside is minor scrathes here and there. passenger side fog light is broken and the driver side fog light bracket is bent. car is like a dark dark purple looking color, almost black, stock for all i know.

place wasn't opend so i don't know what kind of shape the motor is in. but it has 152k miles.

should i? or is a waste of time..

of course im gonna run carfax and check out the obvious

what do you people think?

waste of time, if your going to upgrade, get something newer, and youd ont know where the cars been. save up a while fi you have to, but get something newer and less miles. i know a manual is tempting, but i wouldnt do it if i were you.

I'm with most...unless there is some major thing like WAY LESS miles...keep your 96....or unless you're willing to sacrifice mileage for a 5 speed tranny...tis up to you

i know nissan are good for lots of miles. is why im thinking about it.. id sacrifice 40k miles for a 5psd.. as this is the first in my town that ive seen, thats even got one for sale.

it'd be like stock for stock. other than my exhaust. everything else id swap over.

still want to talk to the place and see if its been wrecked, engine condition ect..

they also have a 97 GLE audo there with 107k
and 99 I30 black, auto 152k miles (might not be a 99)

only thing on the outside thats wrong w/ paint is couple hood dings from road debree and 1 scratch on the back.

if anything, go for the 97GLE, or search autotrader.... I was the guy you spotted in Fort Payne over the summer, and from the size of that town I can understand any trouble you might have finding a maxima around there

I'm with everyone else...keep ur current max, or upgrade it. 95 and 96 are known NOTORIOUSLY for having bad 5 spd. manual trannies. If you do go through with this, itll be extrememly risky...and you don't even get leather. Search for the car, so what if its not in your town...?

I agree with everyone else. I wouldn't trade a newer car with lower mileage (and that I knew the condition of) for something older with higher miles...just doesn't seem right.

Now trading for a car that has fewer miles...that seems like a deal.
