heated seat switch

Alright, I've been browsing cardomain pictures for an hour now with no luck: can anyone tell me where the stock heated seat switches are located in a 95-96 maxima? Are they where the coin slots usually are in front of the ctr console lid? I'm looking to upgrade my un-heated seats, and am doing some homework.

On my 95 GLE they are located right in front of the arm rest [storage compartment] , right in back of the cup holders. I could take a pic when i get home if you need.

Where you see coin slots, those with heated seats see buttons. Your guess was spot-on.

Yeah i think www.leatherseats.com sells the heated seats for $140 (each)or i can be wrong tho. And the switches would go right where ur coin slots are.

I'm not sure how much (if any) of the wiring is installed in cars without heated seats, but the FSM shows the wiring to be pretty simple: fused power to two switches to two thermostats (in the seat) and then grounded.

anyone know a good place to buy used seats? junkyards seem to have few black leather parts. didn't see anything on leatherseats.com...

Same seats but they have a different cover.

Yes - they do take what I would consider to be a long time to warm up - especially when its 10 below around here (IL) A guy at work got rid of his Audi A6 and got the G35 when it first came out and he was complaining to me how the Audi seats would warm up before he was out of his subdivision whereas the G35's seats took much longer to warm up.... so it must be the characteristics of the Nissan heating element/system design...

I have the I-30 seats, front and rear. Front are heated but I haven't connected them yet. Seats look the same to me and bolt right up. I've been told that the I-30 leather is better quality. I can't say that I noticed a big difference. To answer directly, yes, they are more or less the same.

I actually bought the heated seat package from leatherseats.com about two years ago,.. I have a '96 I30,.. I bought two, but only did one seat, (Drivers seat go figure) I took the seat out of the car and then took off the leather then installed the heating elements and put the leather back on the seat. then I disconnected the cigarette lighter and ran those wires to my heater switch which is installed in the coin slots. All in all about 3 hours of work for a first timer. There were some other wires that were not connected to anything under my console, but I didn't have time to Fart around with them.
And My seat heats up pretty quickly, I would say about 5 minutes or so and its toasty. Then again since I had my remote start installed I just leave it on and its ALL TOASTY when I get in now.
Remote start + heated seat = Heavan
