Hi guys,
A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I found a RED '99 Max for sale. But I didn't buy that one. I did buy another '99 Red Max this weekend, though. I know you all know what it looks like, it's a 5spd. with grey cloth interior, 46K miles. Thanks for all the info you guys provided about the Red SE limited. I have another question though. A while back I read in a thread that the front strut tower bar did not fit on a '99 SE without some modification. Does anyone know about that?? Also, which is the best place for one? Stillen, Courtesy???

Thanks again!!

I installed a Courtesy FSTB on my '99 without any cutting. The Courtesy unit has end plates with notches to clear that annoying bracket.

BamaMax,

How much you pay for the max.. did it come with any mods? I bought one also recently, 99SE-L, so I just wanted to see the price range of it.

Completely stock. After all of my B.S. fees it was about 16500. I only found two other red ones around here (southeast)and they were both between 18000 and 19000.

The handling of the car takes getting used too especially if you have driven cars that have more grip in the turns. Nothing the strut bar and good tires won't fix tho.
