Average lowering cost
Average lowering cost
I searched around for a while on the forum looking for a pricing average on this, but could not find one. What is the typical cost of lowering a maxima? (springs, struts, ect whatevers needed + labor)
You can do it for not too much and still do it right
New KYB Gr2's...about $250 shipped
Quality used springs. Eibach, H&R, Progress.....about $120 shipped
Alignment....$60
Other items like new mounts, strut bearings, and dust boots are recomended but not a must unless those items really need replaced.
Or you could go for
New Illuminas.....about $450 shipped
New Quality springs.....about $200-$250 shipped
KYB dust boots.....about $50 for all four
New mounts and bearings......about $125 from the dealer
Alignment....$60
You can do it yourself for free

408 Illumina’s Shipped
200 H&R’s Shipped
~ 200 install
~ 100 alignment.
I ended up paying a lot more for the Energy Suspension, but I gained a solid vibration free steering wheel!
