CAI install issues

Got a CAI from ebay like the one in the link.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

What all is involved in installing it? I work for a dealership and the tech that i was going to get to do this says its going to take a couple of hours to do. For a cold air intake??? He has done work for me before, cause I just dont have the time anymore, but he has always done right by me. He is telling me that the battery has to moved and stuff like that, is this true?

anyone have an idea where the location of the filter would be? I am guessing since the battery needs to be removed that it would be around the location where the battery is now.

You do have to remove stuff out the way to make it clear for you to work. Mainly your intake box and everything connected to it. Also your batter. From what I hear you have to cut out a hole on the driver side wheel well so you can run it thru.

You might have purchased warm air intake. Those are like CAI but they don't extend as far down in the car. Do you have the ebay link?

Are you all taking crazy pills??

The intake on the website provided is obviously a true cold air intake, which would involve cutting a hole in the fender well... I don't know if the seller knows what he's talking about, but if your intake is exactly like the one in the link, it's a CAI and you'll have to do some cutting (and yes, moving the battery).

you only move the battery to cut the hole it goes right back where it was, the filter is in the fender. It's the install directions! It shows you exactly what to do.
