Stock on the Bose headunit aren't LED's, they're very tiny light bulbs so they're brightness isn't measured in MCD but lumens. I don't know what the MCD brightness equivalent would be but it doesn't look like it'd be much.

Well I found a website for converting between MCD's and lumens. First we have to somehow find out the wattage of the stock bulb and it's size to calculate it's lumens and then use the formula in the link below, it's at the bottom of the list you'll see.
Unfortunately I can't make heads or tails of the information. If anyone else can, please share.

Sure, that's understandable. Mine are 6000 mcd. Never can find those spare 10 min to complete the key ring. Behind gauges I have 194s, hate hotspots that leds give.

Can somebody Photoshop this and make the Window button Blue LED and the Lock button Red? I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Well I'm not sure about the Viper LED, you can probably just tap into the OEM LED wiring, it's just two wires so tap into them one way... if the Viper LED doesn't light, reverse it and it should work.

What I did was different, I got a 5mm LED (4,000 mcd) and replaced the stock LED that was in there. Since there was already an LED in there, I didn't have to use a resistor, just a straight swap.

Hope this helps.
