Worth the extra $

 

if you're mechanically inclined and have the urge to you could always just get some reconditioned ones for pretty cheap (around $110 with the core charge) and change them out yourself.

when you said "worth the extra $$" i thought you were referring to brand new ones... yeah... i guess that's what i get for ASSuming.

 

when my front right went out, i bought a semi-used one from a guy on the org for $40 and he even helped me install it.

 

I have no idea how much installation will cost you but try and do it yourself. I replaced my front passenger axle and the only thing that gave me trouble was the nut on the end of the axle. I had to pay a shop tech $10 to break it loose for me but it was a piece of cake after that. Try it yourself first before paying an arm and a leg to have it done for you.
