W00T!! new way to rewire corner and bumper lights

hey,
wassup guys i just did this and it was surprisingly easy if you want your clearance to blink and your bumpers to stay on constant with no wire splicing then read-on

(sorry no pics but very simple shouldnt need any)

#1. take out your bumper and clearance lights (refer to stickys if you dont know how)

#2. take out bumper light bulb and cut the wire loom that connects it with the side marker so you can feed the bulb to the clearance light

#3. take out clearance light bulb and try to stick it in the bumper lens you have to play around with it till you get 3 of the 4 sides partialy in then look at the side thats not in it should be the largest tab now here you have a choice you can cut the bulb holder on the clearance light bulb or you can do what i did which was cut my clear lense just a little so the large tab would fit ( i know its long) in the slot now when your done with that take it out and feed the bulb down to the bumper and connect I taped it all up when i connected it just to make sure i didnt have any leaks thats up to you but i recomend it

#4. feed the bumperlens bulb up to the clearance light and then you have to play with it until it fits into the tabs snugly and it shouldnt be easy to remove then put everything together and your done

The clearance light blinking would sort of defeat the purpose of it, since it is there to light up the road in the direction of your turn, but this is in the case for 95/96 models, not your 98, so I guess my post is worthless.

...why dont you just say, swap the bulb sockets from the clearance lense to the blinker lense and vice-versa

I was thinking about doing this because I didn't like the fact that my blinkers only face front. So if I'm going to make a left turn... the guy perpendicular to my left at an intersecton doesn't know I plan to turn.

I don't think it matters too much but by doing this mod, you let more people know what you plan on doing. I think the more people know about your intentions the less likely they are to hit you. People out there can't drive.

I may do this, depending on how it looks. I like the way the stock lights look at night when you look at the front of the car... just headlights and fog lights. This will throw in some amber. I'll have to see.

Good job.
