Illumina Settings, where does the arrow point?

Here a question for all people who have had illuina’s for a while.

How exactly do you select the setting that you want?

When you turn the screw on top, do you point the arrow at a number or with the line that separates the numbers?

When I had my illumina’s installed all the arrows were set on the lines, not directly to the number?

The brochure that came with the illumina say never to have the arrow point in-between two numbers.

But they only seem to click that way?

If you have a close op picture of how its supposed to be please post!

Thank you.

You point it at the number. Use a small flat-headed screw driver, push in while turning and when you get to the number you want, release the screw. Very easy.

You don't push down on Illuminas, only AGX's are push and turn.

Arrow points to the number you want. 1 - 5. You should be able to "feel" your changes in dampening as well. 1 being really soft, 5 being nice and firm.

Mine seems to click smoothly into the lines and they tend to move away from the numbers.

Not sure if this a defect in the shock, or can it be an installation error?

Also is the arrow itself white or red?

So confused

My bad. That's what I get for having both still.

Hey Buddy,
Just experiment a little bit on the settings. My rear shocks line up on the lines and the front ones line up on the numbers. I guess the way to check is to turn the ones that line up with the lines CCW(soft) until they are both pointing to 5 line(hard). If that is really hard when you drive then turn CW one click and that should be 1 (soft). It is really easy to notice when you go from really hard to soft on these shocks. If it is really soft then you are on the 1(soft) line!! The big thing is to make sure the 2 fronts or back struts are the same.

Mine point to numbers. When I bought my Toks from Stillen, it had a lifetime warranty. See if u have warranty and get them replaced.

There are 2 white dots near the line that is supposed to indicate the arrow. That's the side that points to the number selection.
