Broken Key Ring on remote
Broken Key Ring on remote
Question for everybody. I just bought a 95 maxima fron a friend but the "clickey thingy" (keyless remote) has a broken keyring part. Basically the thigns there but no way to attach it to a key.
I was thinking of possibly gluing something onto the remote but I was wondering if anybody has any ideas or has run into the same problem before.
Thanks alot!!!!

my key ring broke for my key, the gap was small enough that i was able to bridge the gap with black electrical tape wrapped around several times. worked like a charm.
if your gap is larger id still try doing the same thing only attempt to bridge the gap with something sturdier like part of a paper clip glued to complete the ring, then wrap all of that with the black tape.
good luck

If none of the ideas above work - you can pick up a replacement remote off Ebay for 20 bucks and just program it (you can do that yourself - check the stickies for instructions).

The remote that came with mine (used) had the same problem. The dealer had taken a thin suade strap and glued it to the outside corners of the remote, then put a keyring around that. It works great, but I still got a replacement off ebay - $23 shipped.
EDIT: And that was one with the Infiniti label. I've seen Nissan labeled remotes on there for $9.
