Gettin my max this weekend!
I just want to let you all know im turning 17 on thursday. I have to use my brotheres mercury tracer for a few days but over the weekend i am going to get my max. I've been observing this forum for a few motnhs now and want to thank you all for the extremely helpfull info. Anything you want to let me know before i get my max? Im so effin excited
im going for a 97. but if i cant find a good one for under 5 grand i will get a 96. I want black or dark green. 5spd obvs. First ima gonna put a tv and playstation in so i wont be so bored during the cold nights. Then i will slowly get cai, y-pipe, exhasut, all that goodness
if it is stock, the first thing you want to do it lower it. the maxima is a 4x4 stock. if i had the money i would get coil overs. i currently have kyb agx on maxspeeds. then if your gonna get a tv, get one that looks like it was stock. get a microvison 7" tv.

welcome to the forums, to prevent from any flaming, read the FAQ's, chock full of information. alot of questions can be answered within the stickies. you should donate to make use of the search function, its pretty vital when you dont have time to wait for an answer. can't stress reading the faq's enough, youll enjoy the car.
I was in a similar position (I'm turning 18 in a couple weeks), I was looking at this forum for a month or two before I found my max 3-4 months ago. What I wanted was a max, a 5sp 97-99, and I found it, and jumped on it. I got a good deal on it cause it had a crap load of miles on it (5.2k for 128k miles), but mechanically everything was perfect, had to replace stock clutch about 3 months after I started using it since it was the car I learned stick on. I've done a solid amount of mods so far, and hope to get rims soon, and then call it quits in putting $$ in my car, unless I decide to get an intake.
