Message of thanks!!

Group,

I have been lurking here since I became a member to find answers to problems I have been having with my 97 Max.. Since last winter I was having a problem with cold starts (Winter only) in the morning and not happening again until the next morning. Well, this weekend it was fixed!!! I'm not sure who posted the solution or what post it was in, but I want to say, thank you!!! The problem was related to the throttle body being dirty and I mean dirty. Cleaned it and problem gone. The Max. has started over the last two mornings without a problem. I thought about the throttle body before but didn't think it would be the problem until I read a post from someone with what sounded like the same problem I was having.

I wanted to post my findings in hopes that others will know the problem I had and what I did to fix it. This fix worked!!!

TIA,
Paul

Isn't this place great? So much knowledge for FREE! How many of us would have had to take our car to a shop, or worse the dealer if it wasn't for some people on these boards! Just did my front and rear brake pads on my car and will be changing the KS and Temperature sensor soon. Probably wouldn't have attempted it if it were not for the advice of alot members here at the ORG!
