Newbie here

Hi all. I have been reading the board for a few weeks now and finally came into possesion of my 98 GXE. I just have a few questions, that hopefully havent been already answered in the "stickies. The car has a single din nissan am/fm cassette, not the double din bose, can i just swap in my alpine, and upgrade the speakers, or is there any special wiring like with the bose systems?
I would also like to add stock foglights, but am not sure what i need to do that, it has power seats but no ABS, and I saw somewhere that you need those to install the factory fogs?
Lastly if I add a factory rear spoiler, do i need to change springs or anything on the trunk? A friend had to do that when he added a factory spoiler to his honda.
Thats all my questions for now, no other real mods in the works just yet, but I am sure their time will come.
TIA for your responses

Welcome to the Org.

Stereo is a stright swap w/o bose, no special wiring needed. You will, however, needan adapter for the antenna, which you can get at any audio spot (Best Buy def has them)

As far as the fogs, I'm not sure, this is something I'm looking to do myself. I don't think you will need diff springs when you install the spoiler, but don;ttake my word on that.

Uuhh, the trunk doesn't have struts like the hood, the spoiler is a straight swap minus a couple of holes, any body shop should be able to do this. The trunk has specially formed metal rods that allow the trunk to open and close, no springs/struts.

Factory fogs are easy to install.

You just need a stalk that has the fog option and to cut out the holes for the new fog lights to go, wiring is simple, essentially all you have to do is add a ground.
