Just finished my engine replacement...

Just to let everyone know I have swapped out my 95 engine with a 98 engine and now car is running great. I would not say it was hard but definetely not easy. As expected, CEL is on. I am almost afraid to pull the codes and see how many I have. The 98 engine is a bit different from my 95. I had this extra piecs on top of the intake manifold and the TPS is different, my original one had 1 plug and new one had 2 plugs. I just reused my old TPS. Would it hurt anything to use the new one and just have nothing plugged on the other socket? anyway, if anyone is going to be swapping engines I now have first hand experience. Thanks seximtgr for your tips.

Maybe swapping for a 98 ECU should do the trick for the codes, just an idea.

very strange. for sure, mine only has one plug. I noticed one of the TPS is nissan branded and one is hitachi. will have to check to see which is which.

I have a two plug TPS sensor. Maybe this is the key to the raging OBD-II debate. What is the prod. date on you stock ECU? Is it OBD-II? Glad you got it all done. What did you hook the cherry picker to or did you drop it out of the bottom?
