Aftermarket spring and struts combo

I want to lower my 96 SE and was thinking of going with eibach prokits with GR-2's I live in Ca so the roads aren' too bad. Or second option was getting GC coilovers and KYB AGXs', not sure what to do, anyone got some ideas or pics of their cars lowered on Eibach, maxspeed springs?

Or the other combo was AGX with Prokit. I dont' want too stiff a ride, but still sporty, any ideas? let me know, thanks for any input

If you do not want too stiff of a ride then I would suggest that you stay away from the AGX's, I can tell you that from my own personal experience. I've had mine on my car for over a year and a half paired up with H&R springs (softer than the Eibachs). People that have switched from AGX's to Illuminas say the ride is a lot better.

You can look at my sig for the drop which is similar to the Eibach drop.

Here's a link to answer some of your questions:

a little while ago i made a database to house user reviews for different suspension setups...

http://maxima.accessjdm.com/suspensions.php

i just changed my site, and am re-creating the script. right now, you can view all the entires, but soon you will be able to add your review and pick through more springs and struts, i just havent got around to doing that yet...

it may be of some help?

Here is a list of parts. You will probably need new bumpstops/dustboots and I would recommend putting in new strut bearings.

If your car is on the original suspension components then your dustboots/bumpstops are probably gone, at least the dustboot part. Our dustboots have a built in bumpstop. All of the parts on that page are OEM parts. I came across a thread just recently where people were dissatisfied with the KYB's due to the dustboot part wearing out too quickly. The good think about them is that they have a shorter bumpstop which will allow more suspension tralvel than the OEM ones. I bought OEM ones for mine. I recently uninstalled my rear suspension to put in Ben's rear shock mounts (another product I recommend if you are lowering your car, it gives it back almost an inch of suspension travel back). While doing this before reinstalling it, I cut a notch off of the bumpstop and zip tied the bottom of the dustboot to the shock to hold it in place. You can get the OEM stuff from www.courtesyparts.com , and the KYB dustboots from www.cattman.com . You can probably find better prices than Cattman if you look around.
