yesterday i wanted to open my hood to do some cleaning but the f*%ked up hood will not open. when i pull the lever nothing happens. i struggled for at least 30 min befor giving up. any advice on how to open the hood by bypassing the lever?

I've done the same thing. By luck I was able to get it to pop by playing with the latch lever in the cabin and pulling/pushing on the hood every which way.

But the only way to cut it w/o the lever is cutting it because that lever holds it shut, adjust the lever so that when you pop the hood it does exactly that.

That's exactly what I was doing when I messed it up, because before my hood wouldn't pop up, just make a noise, but at first I adjusted the wrong way the first time, but now it popps up nicely when I prop it in the cab.
