Y-pipe questioin

sorry for the newb question, im lookin to get a y-pipe but what should i do when i comes time for an inspection seeing how y-pipes are intended "for offroad & racing only" im lookin to purchase a cattman soon so leave some feedbac on what to do come inspection

Warm your car up to operating temp and don't turn it off before the inspection.
