Door buld stopped working.
Door bulb stopped working.
So i take out the bulb [it was working] to replace with blue 194. I put in the new bulb and it doesn't light. I replace with 1 that i just took out and that 1 doesn't work either. I had some extra 194's laying around so i put each of them in and nothing. The driver door works so i know it's not the fuse [unless they are different fuses]. What could cause such a strange thing to happen. Maybe the receptacle blew? Is that possible just from putting in a new bulb?
kbmaxima happened to a lot of people. still no solid explanation. just one of those things. That's why I put in led's so I'll never have to touch them again.
Happens to be too, but worst. Here's what you need to do first. If it doesn't work than try resetting the BCM.
First rotate the bulb. It might be different polarity.
Second, check fuse
Third:
Here's my story: My door lights out, key lights out, deforst out, window out, door lock out, remote out.
At the end, i reset the BCM. Open up the stereo head unit. There's a small black box behind the head unit. VQpower has a picture under the (installing shock sensor). Unplug the BCM unit and plug it back in.
That should do the trick. I know it work on my issue.

Ok I have the same problem but may have an answer. You need POWER LOAD GROUND to make **** work.. I had my Advance elect. Teacher check out why they dont light back up.. Well this is what he did. Check the blub, they worked.. then checked the power coming from the door, it was positive. then checked the fuses they were all good. BUT! he noticed when he tested the 2 wires from the door, (if you take it apart from the plastic piece surrounding the blub) that both wires were giving juice. Which he said theres a bad ground somewhere because when pulling out the bulb if metal contact the teeth where the bulb gets power from it will automatically be grounded. I hope this helps I still dont have door lights...

I understand what you wrote but now what??? Its automatically grounded but how do you fix it? Is the wire fried? Go get that teacher back in your car and put his degree to work...LOL...J/K
LOL. I was infront of my girlfriends house today when i decided to give it a further look. I decided to use a 12v led bulb. to my amazement the passenger side light worked but when the door closed the light got brighter... So there is a bad ground! a loose or dirty ground will give a dim light with the door close its the negative isnt touching ground therefore the lights turn off. So my conclusion is it may be just the switch by the door the one that turns off the lights when the door shuts. the negative ground wire def runs to those switches im going to pull mine out and clean it up redo the ground and see what happens. Yeah my teacher need a wire diagram of the door lights, so he didnt get a chance to fix them yet. Im doing my best by looking over the notes i took and reading the text book to further more my idea to fix this. Right now im in Manual transmissions.
