Power Shifting not crisp as it used to be.

Why when I power shift its not crisp like it used to be. I used to be able to shift amd catch second gear, now it just feels like it has no power going into second. Any Idealsl? Kind of like the ECU is pulling timming but, not really the same feeling.

What do you mean when you say "power shift"? A lot of people say that but it's the wrong word for what they're doing.

........but if you're right and you are power shifting, what's probably happening is you're SCREWING UP YOUR CAR, and you should stop doing it before you have a multi-thousand dollar repair and you come here complaining about crappy nissans

I'm going to just assume that you're talking about side stepping the clutch, or close to it while going deep into the gas ...

At any rate, you've probably glazed your flywheel or clutch a bit and effectively caused it to begin to slip. If that's the case, you'll eventually need a new clutch and have to get your flywheel resurfaced (or buy a Fidanza).

Lesson learned? Upgrade effectively .... or drive less abusively

Its not really a power shift since I do let off the gas, but its a quick shift feels like the car is pulling timing.

You mean like this? http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=355694 read post #8 by Moderator I30tMikeD

Alittle tip, when shifting quickly, try to not let off the clutch or slam the gas pedal until you fully get it into gear. When you get it into gear, give it very slight gas as you quickly let off the clutch to let it engag, slam the gas pedal down fully now (You should do all of this in less than .5 seconds of course)
