sprints with illuminas

I have sprint springs and was wondering if the illumina struts a height adjustable? or how low they will ride with the sprints? If I want it pretty low shoud I just get coilovers or do you think the sprint illumina will work? I will have 18in wheels on when I decide the new setup.

That'll be pretty low. Only coilovers are height adjustble. I would think sprint height is about as low as you'd want it for everyday driving.

not with the sprints if that's what you mean...the fake coilovers have there own spings (as do the real ones...but they integrate the shocks as well).

Check this site out for more information than you probably care to know.

I have Sprints with Illuminas. The shocks are adjustable, but not height adjustable you are thinking coilovers when you're thinking the Illuminas adjust height.

Sprints drop 2" the Illuminas adjust how stiff the ride can be.

Struts control the stiffness of ride? I learn something new everyday.
My front left illumina is gone. Front right is starting to go. Only had them for 3/4 year. Very dissatisfied with Illumina, but I don't think there's anything else out there that's better, regardless of price (dis-regarding coilover struts).
My engine cross member and cat shield scrape over speed bumps and driveways sometimes. It's much worse when I've got 3 other people in the car.
If I could do it over again, I'd go Eibach/Illumina.

Well I already have the sprint springs..I just need new struts because im riding on stock ones. I understand that the struts dont adjust the hieghts so if I got a coilover sleeve to adjust hieght would that shorten the life of the strut? I want to be low as in less than a 1 finger gap between the tire(18's) and the fender gap.

Sprints will be pretty low (not sure as far as finger gaps go). The lower you drop it the harder it will be on the strut. If you really want to slam it you should probably go with real coilovers. There's a GD going for D2's.

I'm running a GD on illumina's for $408 shipped if you're interested.

check out some KYB AGX's... not height adjustable, but you can adjust the firmness 8 ways in the back, 4 ways up front
