Oil pump replacement...what should I expect?

Has anyone gotten theirs replaced? What did it cost? I think mine is shot. I'm not driving the car. The oil light comes on and STAYS on.

Replace the oil pressure sensor switch, their known to go bad.
Your oil pump is probably fine.

Maybe it is just a defective oil pressure sensor. Can you measure the oil pressure? Also, check oil level, just in case...
