Did you try replacing your battery. When my starter went out, so did my battery. I replaced both and my car starts great now!

try tapping the starter gently with a hammer

it sends vibrations up to the bristle thingies

especially after battery replacement

or it could be a defective starter....clean the battery terminals really good and if it still does it, hit it with a hammer and take it back to the shop

I also think you have a defective starter. Where did you get the replacement from?

Take your battery out go down to Kragens or auto zone and have them check your battery...If you had this battery when you still had your old starter your battery could have been drained by your old starter. MIne did and my battery was really dead but it still had enough juice to turn on interior lights radio ect....Also my battery made my car not even turn on at all no sound nothing.

first get the batterty checked out. then after that check your sensors crank and cam sensors 3 alltogether. if the car cranks but its not catching then check the mass air flow sensor. that went bad on me before and thats the reason my car didnt start. let me no if i can help
