Why are suck meaningless threads allowed up? ya, you have problem, you drive like a moron; now seek some help from a support group... there must be some kind of help group for people that watch 2Fast 2Furious... smarten up, drive the limit and address your needs on a track away from the general public, otherwise you would learn and it takes a lot more then just tickets...my friend learned the hard way by taking a life because he was drive like a jack @$$... he can contemplate his driving skills in prison.

when i get the bug and speed alot, i go to some websites where they showed wrecked cars, then i picture the speed they were going, and the speed i was going, and then try to picture a body in the driver seat and how bent it would be, think of your funeral and all the things youll never do because your dead, it works. i was in a bad accident with my friends when i was 15, i really dont speed but when i do, for some reason the same song i heard when we wrecked comes on and i slow right backdown.

I have honda friends, I don't bash honda. I'm just saying that it would be rare to run into a NA civic that runs 12.5

less rare to run into one that has turbo.

Its ok, let him speed like that. There will come a time when he will get pulled over going double the speed limit and hell get arested... oh yea you do know its a felony right??? At least thats how it is in NY. I used to be a dumba$$ like you on the road but i got pulled over topping out my old VR6, i got away with it by some miracle. After that i never drove like a moron again. Ask yourself this question, if you hit someone and kill them but live, how will you live with yourself?? At that point being sent away would be the least of your problems.

why does every thread turn into a honda hating thread no matter the topic, lol

just keep speeding man, its the way u were born, there is absolutley no way out of it, it is your destiny

just factor in all the speeding tickets / extra labor / body work in with your driving budget and you should be ok

you just wont be able to afford more expensive cars - buts its OK, because you get to SPEEEEDDDDD WAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhrrrr

rig a wire from your speedo to your nuts that sends an electrical shock whenever you go over a certain speed.

in all seriousness dude, you just need to make a consious (spelling?) effort not to do it because apparently going through as many cars you have had and getting tickets hasnt detered you from doing it. just chill it out, there is really no other way.

Have a kid and keep him/her in a car seat in the back so you can see him/her in the rearview. If you still speed then it's time to get a bicycle.

I got pulled over..I was in a group of cars going donw the highway..(u know when you are in a group u get the feeling that cops cant touch you)..anyway, I see a cop on the opposite of the highway going in the opposite direction. 5 minutes later I see lights beind a group of cars. They get out of his way. I slow down trying to keep the cop from getting behind me...but he pulls up to my side and points his finger at me. he says, "Son, I know those other cars were going fast, but you sir, were blowing them away"

He let me off with a verbal warnign though...I now go the speed limit..but Im losing it and have ceratin "bursts" since then

buy big 18' or 19' expensive wheels with bling stuff and very thin, low profile tires. You'll be so worried about hitting a pothole that you won't be able to speed.

That's great - I'm sure it was: on street tires/is street legal/runs on regular gas/and is not simply a Civic shell tubbed and lacking any original Civic parts. I'd venture to say dude's SS can drive to the track, run a 12.5, and then stop for milk on the way home.

Talk a walk places, or go running. Watch the other cars on the road. You'll notice 2 things:
1) close calls that neither driver recognized
2) drivers doing incredibly stupid, careless, dangerous stuff

You'll realize that it's only a matter of time before you kill someone or yourself doing this. You'll witness cars backing out without looking, running stop signs, crossing blind corners and hills not in their lane, running red lights, weaving while on cell phones, etc. I've logged a few thousand hours running on public roads and I see it on a regular basis.
It's only a matter of time before something huge and ****ty happens when you constantly drive 25-35 over the speed limit. You're not old enough to have seen enough yet, but in time you will.

One other point - 25mph is generally considered reckless driving in most states, and puts you at additional liability. At 5-10mph over, it's kind of hard to prove that speeding made an accident unavoidable, but at 70 in a 45 zone the courts will make it your fault. If anyone driving recklessly ever hurts/kills someone I know, I would actually resort to a schiester lawyer (yak, the thought) to make sure that driver gets pounded for every penny they'll ever earn. That and DUIs, ugh.

But if you ignore everything, please, for the love of God and Nissans, stop speeding in 25 and 35 zones - these are downrated because of parked cars, pedestrian traffic, and driveways. On these roads you NEED to be going slow enough to react to things coming your way, and they DO happen. 45 and 55 zones tend to be more conservatively rated, although for some reason they're more patrolled.

Dave

Try driving with your coffee cup half full and with the lid off. Keeping the coffee in the cup is a good way to learn to drive smoothly and driving smoothly is a function of anticipating things. Gentle braking and low Gee turns, smooth starts, etc. all comes from not going faster than your brain will let you plan ahead, and that will slow you down while having fun doing so. As you get better, fill the cup more, and then when you are really good, you put the coffee on the dash, right above your favorite stereo.

I think you read him wrong! I think he was trying to say is if you have kids [like i do, 2 to be exact] and they are driving with you, you will become a completely different driver. You will drive slow and careful because now it is your own kids lives that are in your hands.

First , get a car that can go FAST not simply break the speed limit. People that do have fast cars generaly dont need to talk about how to slow down or ask how. Dont be a f*cking retard
