Finally done with valve cover polish![pics]




this is the first thing on the engine i have polished along with the timing chain cover -such an amazing diff and only took 10 hours lol the rest of the engine will b done soon -this is just the thing i hit first so please dont say the rest of it is dirty thanks- let me kno wut ya thynk

did the long process of sanding it all down starting from 100 grit and went up to 200 then 300 then 600 then 1000 and then 1500-after that i polished it up with some aluminum polish and thats it -only took like 10hours total by hand no biggy lol

very very long process and thats only the timing chain cover and valve cover i still want to do my intake manifold to finish it off and then i am sending some shyt out to get chromed so it cleans it all up but yea if u have time go out and get the supplies and go at it -it kills ya back shoulders hands but is worth it 2 me

Looks tite. Do the manifold and ur set man. Or just get one of those MEvi Covers for it since it will be a lot harder to do.

now do your intake manifold... took me a lil over 2months to hand sand and polish my manifold ON the car, hehe.

thanks a lot guys and yes i did this all ON the car its a pian but i really didnt want to take the parts off and do it b/c i have work 6 days a week and i would hate to take em off and put em on everyday-also how do youll recommend to the manifolds- i started but it looks like it will take 4ever

o i got a circular wire brush thats like a drill bit you put on the drill. 1000x easier than hand

did you replace the gasket when you put the cover back on? i am wanting to do this as well but do not know hwo to go about doing it yet.

both wet and dry and no i didnt replace anything because i did this while it still being on the car

thanks so much everyone for the praise-cant wait till i hit the rest -another 30 hours or so and every single part will be chromed polished and clean - finally i hate looking at a dirty engine
