Tranny Slipping!
HEY I GOT A 1999 MAX GXE AUTO.
I DON'T KNOW IF THE TRANNY IS SLIPPPING BUT I SEE THE RPM'S MOVING INSTANTLY FROM 2 TO 1 VERY FAST, RIGHT WHEN I LET GO OF GAS PEDAL. IS THERE A EQUATION OF RPM-MPH WHEN THE TRANNY SHOULD SHIFT,
EX. AT 60 MPH MY RPM IS 2.

And your car is shifting, that's why it goes from 2k-1k like that.

y would his car shift up when he lets off the gas?

Because it's automatic, and that's what it is designed to do.
When wot, the car will go higher rpm because more power is demanded, when cruising along, the engine electronic control is designed to be fuel effecient, hence keeping rpm's at a minimal.
