no, I don't think so...a 300zx TT engine won't fit, so I'm guessing this would be impossible too
However with loads of money it probably could be done, but if you have that money, why not ship a GTR over???

if you could get a skyline engine, why would you put it in a maxima?

it can be done but it will cost a lot of money. have to change everything and there will be compatibility issues with certain parts. but it can be done if you're willing to pay for it.

You can actually find a good deal on the adapter kit in the Group Buy section.

i did a h22 swap, i had enough room to fit in another gsr motor, so now the h22 runs the front and the gsr runs the rears, who needs gtr power when you got VTEC BICH

HAHAHAHAH, comon dont be mean.

can it be done... anything can be done. Is it worth even thinking about it?? NO.

As for the skyline comment... i think people bow down to the skyline because they dont know any better. If you love the car then yea its fine but if you dont even know what it really looks like then it wouldnt make much sence. The thing is that its the car most people know about. The best looking and best preforming cars were NOT in the Slow and Ridiculous.

I dunno, I would die a happy man if I walked outside and saw a R34 GT-R Nuremberg edition skyline sitting outside and knowing I had the keys to it. 450hp they say came from this beast.

but ya if anything if your going to put a skyline engine in a car and spend all that money look for one of these RB26DETT N1 spec

Hey, don't knock it. I can't remember who but some company has a Tiburon with and engine in the front and an engine in the back and it's runnin i think over 500hp. I've seen it on tv. twice. Reverse donuts are so sweet in that car.

Thats been done before, fyi. But a skyline engine, I mean, why not try. Youd have to have a **** load of money, No body on this forums is that rich I think. But You could get a custom made tranny and set that b!tch sidways. Well since the Maximas frontend is so long, It seems possible, when I was a Noob, I was planning on saving about 30k so I can do something like that, but like I figured I could do a lot of other things with that 30k, Your best bet would be to try to swap a VQ30det, but theres no point because you can just buy its heads and turbo your own car. I think with enouph money anything is possible, but if no $ Dont even think about it cause it is simply impossible

Everything is possible. It all depends on how much money you are willing to spend. Of course one can put a skyline GTR engine inside a max. It will most likely require some serious modifications, like moving the firewall etc.

I bet someone on earth has already done this. I also bet that 98% of people who attempted this failed. Face it, you got 4th gen worth at most 10 g's, now who's stupid enough to put in another 20, 30 or more into it? You're better off just getting a used Skyline.

Nope, this guy's an idiot. I had to fix it for him. He moronically left off one of the vtec badges, the one t hat sends the remote signal to the skyline engine. How do you leave that off? The most important part...
