rear springs install

How do you remove the rear spring, the shock shaft keeps on spinning when I try to losen the main bolt. Should I use a vice grip to hold shaft in place, but that will damage the shaft.

If you are going to reuse the shock you should not use visegrips.

i used vice grips to hold the shaft in place and had no problems with any damage to the struts

If your not going to reuse them then use Vise Grips... you'll see how hard it is to even scrape the shaft though.
